Everything a person could want for breaky and lunch EXCEPT GLUTEN FREE PANCAKES. How hard can that be? Coffee nice. I like the pot on my tabled

I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service! The staff is friendly and quick, food was really good- egg and I is definitely a new "go-to" spot! Limited GF and no soy latte- that's my only qualm...

Just had one of the worst breakfasts of all time. Dried omelet, fake bacon and cottage cheese that was dry and very old!! One star because server said she would replace the entree but it took soooo long to get the order I just said thank you bit NO!! Why go there with so many good places in town. We gave it a try but never again.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were treated with kindness and attention. The coffee was good and apple cinnamon pancake was excellent! Will definitely return when traveling back through this area.

The place is way pricey for the quality of food, the eggs were overcooked, burnt and seemed to be cooked in a hurry, maybe due to the morning rush.

The Egg & I had been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. We order everything from benedicts, scrambles, skillets to hueavos. The coffee is always fresh and ample. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and delicious. Waitstaff is amazing and most of them have been there forever. That says a lot to me about how they run their business! Only negative comment I can leave is that my daughter was disappointed when they took the Kiki's special off the menu (cold cereal and milk) as that was what she ordered every time. It's harder to get her to go now! Favorite dish of mine isn't on the menu... It's called the poncho villa and is their famous ranch potatoes, eggs your way, all smothered in green chili. YUM.

Sadly, the food is made from low quality, out of the box ingredients and the coffee is lousy.

You will not be disappointed when eating at The Egg and I. We love the variety of menu items. We try something new every time we go. You can't go wrong with anything you order. The staff is friendly and always serve you with a smile. lg

Raw egg whites with my benidect. Server was friendly, food was out fast. Seemed like another chain place. No thanks.

We eat at the Egg & I often. They have a coffee, wonderful iced coffees. You get a craft of your ordered drink, love this. If you ask; a to-go cup for later. We love the pouched eggs, apple-granola pan cake, burrito, frittata, BLT, Chicken Apple Walnut sandwich. As any good restaurant they can get busy busy busy. We trend to go at the less busy times. The staff is kind every time we go even when it's busy.

Just all right, nothing special. The service was great, the food was just okay.

I am a big fan of brunch. I didn't used to be, but around the time I started drinking, I realized the perfect hangover cure was an awesome brunch. Although I don't believe I've ever been to the Egg and I hungover, it's presence in my childhood guarantees that I will measure every breakfast I ever eat against the Egg and I. Few of them live up. First, let's talk about the service. Hostesses and servers are super-smiley and friendly which always shocks me since I live in Boston, home of Mean People. They actually seem to like their jobs and this improves my experience immensely. The food is delish. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here, or come with anyone who hasn't liked their food. Eggs Benedict are awesome, Huevos Rancheros are awesome...I truly believe you can't go wrong with their menu. And for those of you who like a little taste of local celebrity, I saw Sonny Lubick with the whole fam the last time I was here. See? Even Sonny knows it's awesome.

The Egg & I has a homey atmosphere and seems to be a hit with families. Well at least there were quite a few families with kids when I went. The menu has everything you want in a breakfast/brunch joint and tastes pretty good too. The staff was also very kind, but the food did take a little long to get out. Other than that, it's a great place for a weekend brunch.

The Egg and I on College was one of my favorite places for breakfast when I was in college. Since then it has expanded quite a bit. It is still a fantastic place to eat. The food is excellent. The portions are large- my daughter and I shared a blueberry pancake and fruit and yogurt and we had plenty of food. My wife had the Egg Byte omelet (from the healthy menu) and my son was extremely delighted with his kid's pancake with strawberries. The waitress went an extra mile and made it into a smilie face. The host even packed up some coffee and tea to go for us. We were there early on a Monday morning and there was no wait, but on the week end you can expect to wait a while- it is worth it.

If you have been to IHOP this is very much the same thing. The food is your average breakfast food. I had the pineapple pancake, bacon, and eggs dish. The waitress was pleasant and got my drink orders quickly. The pancake was huge, but the taste was average. I orange glasses are small, next time I will just have water.

A great place for breakfast. I very much enjoy the Santa Fe Huevos which is a flour tortilla layered with seasoned black beans, melted pepper jack cheese and two eggs any style. Topped with pork green chili or salsa, guacamole, diced tomatoes, sour cream and green onions for $8.49. You can add zesty chorizo for another $0.50. The coffee and the decaf are both excellent, and the biscuits and gravy are also very good. The service is good, attentive without being bothersome, and the food usually comes out in a very timely manner. I have enjoyed this chain in Loveland, Ft. Collins (2 locations) and in Greeley. They all seem to meet the same high standards of good food served quickly, reasonable price and great service. Highly recommended if you are in this area.

On one of the warmer spring days in Fort Collins, we headed on over to The Egg & I for a hearty, kid-friendly breakfast. We were quickly seated at a booth and the kids set up with colored pencils (which I love more than crayons!) and a plastic bib for the baby. We browsed the menu to see what fit out fancy that day. The place was packed but service was still quick. The kids got their milk and fresh orange juice and I was supplied with a large pot of coffee to refill when I wanted (another thing I love). With the hustle and bustle around us, people of all ages and tons of families, we felt like we fit right in. The Baby trying to throw pencils on the floor, spill his cup and whine to get out of his high chair while The Preschooler complained about not wanting to eat, nobody knew the difference in that place. It was great. While I don't think it's the best breakfast in Fort Collins (comparable to Le Peep), the quick service, home-style food in a family-friendly atmosphere makes us glad we are able to go back to The Egg & I.

Great if you are a geezer and like nursing-home food.

Disclaimer: I feel horrible for only giving 3 stars because I love the Egg & I! The service is usually great and the food cant be beet. Hikers Benedict, mmmmm. That said, I was more then a little disappointed taking my mom, who was here visiting, to Egg & I for mothers day. The ordeal started out with us calling ahead and being told there there is a 20 min wait but if we put our name on the list, by the time we get there they should have a table ready. We show up 15 mins later, worm our way inside around the mass of people and tell them our name. Hostess finds our name and tells us "its going to be about 15-20 mins. OK, I can understand its busy and time frames are really just a guess so I am happy to wait 15-20 mins. 20 mins go by, then 30, then 40. I go back inside and ask them if they have forgotten us. Hostess apologizes and says "its going to be another 5 mins". Again, I am a little perturbed but I can wait, its busy. 5 mins go by, then 10, then 15. At this point our original 15-20 min wait has turned into almost an hour. At this point I go back inside and ask about our table, hostess tells me that they are clearing one off for us right now. After we were seated, we had a great time and great food. Now I know that its mothers day and everyone in the entire town wants to go to breakfast so I can cut them some slack for that. But attention Egg & I, be honest with your patrons when they ask about the wait. If its an hour then tell us its an hour! I would have waited anyways, and I wouldn't have felt lied to. I will be back again because lets be honest, its the best breakfast in town but I wont trust the wait time... :)

I love this place. The food is always great, the coffee is great, the staff are very friendly, the ambiance is wonderful... bright and cheery with soothing music. Bathrooms are not very handicapped accessible is the only problem if someone uses a wheelchair.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for over 20 years. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality place to eat at a decent price. Though, I will add that they have reduced the amount of food they used to offer, while not changing the price. It is still very well worth it, however.
